Just bought house on Webster, totally over the Blue Nile bar that was shot up in June and the beer place, and the Chinese Takeout place robbed last month. Any ideas?

Welcome to the neighborhood! Do you have a block association & captain? I feel like they would know what to do. There's 311 - you can call to file complaints or go to the website & see if any of the complaint requests apply to those establishments. I've use 311 a few times in the past to complain about illegal dumping, vacant lots & residential buildings that are bringing down the curb appeal of the neighborhood. All have been handled, except for the last one I mentioned which is pending. The Cobbs Creek Community Association meetings are held the 1st Monday of the month at the library on 58th & Baltimore. Have you spoken to your neighbors about these places? Also, you can write to your city council representative.
