latesses act of nonsense

Our block recently held a Fall Festival on Friday October 31, 2014. We decorated the block with cornstalks, hay, and pumpkins. And much to my dismay, we awoke this morning to find one of bales of hay gone. They did leave the pumpkins on the ground. But a bale of hay!!! really, you try to make to the neighborhood look festive and someone steals your joy.

Siding installation on Sunday

Today by all accounts is Sunday .Why is this out of state company
doing siding installation at 5944 Cedar Ave,,, Harvey's remodeling.,mechanical
and electrical work.
During the week you expect to hear hammering, sawing and movement
in relations to home being gutted but on Sunday, these white contractors
see no problems with coming into the neighborhood disturbing out quiet
for one day... Bet they don't have a permit from L&L either,
And I guarantee we could not go into their neighborhoods on Sunday
to do this type construction.

  • deenie concerned citizen

always call the police to enforce these ordinances. They will 1) come out and 2) put a stop to it.

  • MFW4 Resident

Thinking maybe they had a deadline that's why they are working on Sundays or since there out of town, wanting to get done to return home to families sooner. Just a thought! Really not sure why race was thrown into your comments?? I would think seeing productive work is much better than adults hanging on corner pushing drugs; especially on 59th and Cedar.. Right?
