Acres of Neglect

What can we do to force City agencies that own vacant properties maintain them? Almost the entire block of 1400 S. Hanson St. is owned by an alphabet soup of City agencies and it looks horrible. Contributing to the ruin of our neighborhood.

  • Hi Philly Native,
There have been eye sores like that where I used to live & I filed complaints with 3-1-1. The vacant lot & mattresses I complained about were cleaned up within about 30 days. It may take up to 90. Give 3-1-1 a try. I think you can either call that number or file your complaints online.
    Hope that helps!

  • Philly Native Improving My Community

Thanks for that info. I called 311 and they took the complaint. I'll post pic when it's cleaned!
