Woman robbed at gunpoint by 4 suspects in Point Breeze

Surveillance video shows the 24-year-old woman walking on the 1100 block of South 17th Street while being followed by the group.

As she turned onto the 1600 block of Annin Street, three of the suspects stayed across the street while one suspect approached her from behind and pointed a handgun, demanding money.

Jo, I agree with you crime happens in every community. I think what Hakem was getting to was that there is a higher in frequency in areas like our neighborhoods with low or no income, poor education, drugs and the lack of good paying jobs are contributing factors to that increase. I have lived in different places in the military and it seems to be the case and demographics don’t really matter when you have those factors. Such is the state of the city. To be fair Maytown is hardly apples to apples, in 2012 there 0 assaults, 0 murders and 21 burglaries. Pretty sure we passed that mark already for this year which credits what Hakem was getting at. At least as far as the contributing factors being prevalent. http://www.city-data.com/crime/crime-Marietta-Pennsylvania.html If we can’t talk about the problems we will never be able to begin to solve them.
