Man sought in South Philly carjacking

The incident began at 12:38 p.m., when two officers spotted a black Ford Mustang blow through a stop sign at 17th and Reed streets in Point Breeze, police said.

At that point, the chase continued on foot, with the suspect pulling the driver of a gray Nissan Maxima out of the car on Camac Street near McKean in South Philly, police said.

He sped off with two female passengers still inside. The officers recovered the Maxima a few minutes later on 9th Street near Ritner. Neither passenger was injured, but the suspect escaped, police said.
