She won't get to them this year. Yesterday morning, police said, the 83-year-old, who was known as Ms. Bessie to her family, friends and neighbors, was found dead in her home on 46th Street near Woodland Avenue.

57th and Ludlow 2 men cleared in kidnap, torture of bar owner
Lamont Cook, 23, and Shawn Clarke, 38, both of West Philly, had been identified by police as suspects about a month after Harriott was abducted from his bar, Club William Penn, at 57th and Ludlow streets, on July 17, 2007. No other suspects were ever identified.

Walnut Street near 56th Cops: 6 men raped woman in W. Phila.
According to Lt. Frank Vanore, a police spokesman, the woman went to a Chinese restaurant on Walnut Street near 56th about 10:45 p.m.

People heard the woman's screams and called 911. Police arrested all six at the scene, an apartment across from the Li Lai Chinese restaurant at 5609 Walnut St.
