Always lived in NE. Live in Holmesburg

Friday Afternoon, at Rhawn street and Frankford Ave. A man drove his car into a house and knocked down a utiiity pole

This blocked all traffic at that intersection. The route 28 bus had to detour just above Jackson Street from both directions. I didn't get to hear the news regarding this, so I do not know if there were injuries involved. Any other information would be appreciated.

My apologies that a CBS post had already been submitted. What I didn't know was the incident happened 12 hours earlier. The 28 was detoured in both directions. Over 600 people lost power. This was one terrible mess caused by a driver with an alleged high alcohol level. I hope no one was seriously injured.

My apologies, I didn't see this notice. I was waiting for the 28 bus Friday after noon after missing one. I saw at a distance what was going on at Frankford Avenue. The bus driver told me about a driver crashing into a utility pole and a house, but I didn't realize it was the early am. I didn't hear the news about this and didn't know fully what had happened except I was afraid I wouldn't get a bus. Thank you for posting this and setting the record straight for me. The power outage alone must have been torture for all those people.
