Man killed, grandson injured in E. Mt. Airy hit-and-run; suspect arrested

David Wilson, 73, of the 6100 block of Morris St., was pronounced dead at the scene by medics. The passenger, a 13-year-old grandson who Wilson had just picked up at football practice, was treated for minor injuries.

Dion Hunter, 21, of the 1300 block of Yerkes St., fled the scene but was captured about three blocks away from the collision. His 27-year-old passenger was caught along Gorgas Lane and treated at Albert Einstein Medical Center for minor injuries.
