The area’s strengths are seen as the commercial district around Kensington and Allegheny (K&A), the Fifth Street business corridor, the two heavy rail SEPTA lines, Temple’s medical campus and the Lenfest Center, where Richards held the first community meeting about the plan.

This bill would remap the area bounded by 29th Street and Sedgley, Ridge, and Glenwood Avenues. This area contains the Gideon Edwards School. Planner David Fecteau rushed to assure the commissioners that the school is in no danger.

Between the power pop melodies of early Saves the Day and the hard driving fold rhythms of Fleetwood Mac lies TIGERS JAW, a band who's raw immediacy is infectious and intoxicating. Shimmering organ textures, chunky guitar chords, and male/female vocal harmonies show the Scranton, PA natives taking rural rock music from its legendary past to its vibrant future.

Jimmies vs. Sprinkles: Why Philly fights over what we call an ice cream topping
Philadelphia's signature ice cream topping is jimmies. Or it's sprinkles. Or it's both. And we're ready to fight about it.
