Mayor Nutter Appoints Commission On Parks And Recreation
Mayor Nutter made the announcement Mander Playground at 33rd and Diamond where he was joined by Councilwoman Reynolds Brown, Councilman Clarke, Parks and Recreation Commissioner Michael DiBerardinis, and advocates from the parks and recreation community. The Commission will be responsible for setting written standards and guidelines for land use, green space preservation, and the acquisition, sale or long-term lease of park or recreation land or facilities.

Mayor Street, Community Leaders and Comcast Announce Agreement to Bring Public Access Television to Philadelphia
The City will provide the vacant Widener Branch Library at 25th and Lehigh Avenues for a studio and will pay utilities on the property for the first five years. An interim facility in City Hall will be used until the property is renovated.
